@meesterdavidgitaar Menuet I – Cellosuite 1 – J. S. Bach Tomorrow I’m playing in a very varied concert (Statenzaal Zwolle, Sunday 29 June 15:00) which will include a solo set on lute. I’m still deciding on what to play and now I’m thinking to make it all Bach. What do you think? The beautiful instrument I’m playing here is called an archlute, it has 14 courses. 7 courses run on the fingerboard and can be playing like guitar strings. 7 courses run on the extended pegbox and are bass strings that are played like harp strings. Course 1 is single Courses 2 to 5 are doubles in unison Courses 6 and 7 are doubled in octaves Tuning top to bottom: g’ d’d’ aa ff cc gG fF E E-flat D C B-flat A G (There are different options for tuning the long bass strings.)
